Hydraulic Pump in Montreal

About Us

Montreal, French Montreal, city, Quebec province, southeastern Canada. Montreal is Canada's second-largest city and is also the capital of Quebec. Montreal has three-quarters of Montreal Island (Ile de Montreal) which is one of the largest islands within the Hochelaga archipelago. It is among three archipelagos located close to the confluence of Ottawa and St. Lawrence Rivers.

Montreal has an extensive French colonial heritage that dates back to the 16th century. It was first an unofficial settlement but then was transformed into a centre for fur trading, the role was further emphasized after the conquer of New France by the British in 1763. The city's position on St. Lawrence proved to be a major advantage in its growth as a transportation manufacturing, financial, and manufacturing centre. Montreal was the largest metropolitan area prior to the 1867 confederation. Then, Toronto was able to surpass it in the 1970s. Montreal is home to the majority French Canadian population. It is commonly claimed that Montreal is the second-largest francophone city in the world (after Paris), but the claim is frequently questioned by others who assert the same thing for Algiers and Kinshasa. However, Montreal's economy was heavily influenced for many years by an Anglophone minority. Montreal has been the destination of many immigrants and is widely regarded to be among the most cosmopolitan cities of North America. Montreal remains a city of grand charm, lively and energy and also one that is unquestionably modern.

It's a fantastic opportunity to walk along around the streets of Montreal in particular Old Montreal (Vieux-Montreal), a historic city that gives an insight into the city's rich past via its cobblestone streets. There are a variety of styles of architecture from the 16th century onwards to the present.
